If you have never been on a motorcycle before, where should you begin?
The Begin 2 Ride Program is for first time riders!
Let's face it, riding and learning to ride can be pretty scary.
We have thought about riding many times. However there are physical elements to riding that we
need to know before we can make informed choices about our motorcycling.
We recommend you complete Session 1 before you begin studying for the DMV written test.
We will provide the DMV booklet and some other helpful licensing information in Session 1.
The training motorcycles are late model, light weight with low seats!
The purpose of this three hour session is to get you riding. We will first study the motorcycle controls and practice coordinating the throttle roll-on and clutch release. By the end of the session you will be practicing using your brakes for effective stopping.
Our begin2ride training is the pre-licensing, pre-Basic Rider Course (BRC), pre-Riders Edge Course,
beginner beginer training!
National Motorcycle Training has developed these "open source" three hour "begin to ride" block riding sessions
to get you familiar with operating a motorcycle. Our motto is, "Be informed before you ride."
We know people who have some familiarity with the physical skills of motorcycling have
more enjoyment shopping for their first motorcycle.
What is motorcycle safety? Start with first things first. We recommend you attend the
first "begin to ride" session even before you prepare for your written test at the DMV. We have found
that people who have some familiarity with the physical skills of motorcycling achieve better
understanding when reading the DMV motorcycling handbook. We will give you the DMV Motorcycle
handbook at the end of the first session.
We do not promote motorcycling, we promote making informed choices!
The tuition is $98 per session.
It is assumed that you can already ride a bicycle.
What is motorcycle safety? Find out in your very first riding session!
