Congratulations on finding out about having fun and eliminating unnecessary risk during your learners time!

How much does it cost to rent the motorcycles?

$39 per day for 2nd through 6th day.
$69 1st day includes 3-hour practice with instructor
$264 Best Deal: 3-hour practice session plus one week rental
Monthly rentals available.

Can you deliver the motorcycle?

Yes. $20 + 33 cents per mile, round trip travel. Miles calculated from Google Maps.

Welcome to National Motorcycle Training's self-study session using the motorcycle rental program in San Diego, California!

We provide 250cc motorcycle rentals. We know that new riders on large, high powered street bikes have less fun and are at high risk when they begin their street riding. Our program was specifically designed for new motorcyclists to lower their risk and increase their enjoyment during their learners time!

Do I need a motorcycle license? If not, what type of learners permit or restricted license do I need?

No, you do not need an unrestricted motorcycle license. However,
you do need your motorcycle learners permit.

The motorcycle learners permit allows you to ride by yourself in the daytime. In California, this means you have completed the motorcycle license written test at the DMV. No appointment is necessary to take the written test.

What else do you require?

Completion of the 3-hour continue2ride practice session or equivalent.

What gear do you require?

1. DOT approved helmet. We can supply the helmet.
2. Long sleeved shirt, long pants, and athletic shoes or boots.

What is the deposit required?

Typically you will allow an authorization on your credit card for $1000.

Can I use the rental motorcycle to take the license test at the DMV?

Yes. Be sure to practice before testing for the motorcycle license.
